Local Artist Natasha Azari Selected to Create Community Mural at 2026 Daytona Beach International Festival
Ormond Beach, FL — January 2026 — Cultural Awareness Fund, Inc. announced today that Natasha Azari, a respected mural artist based in the Daytona Beach area, will design and lead the creation of a community mural for the upcoming 2026 Daytona Beach International Festival, May 16–17, 2026, at Manatee Island Park.
Natasha Azari has built a distinguished career as a professional muralist and public artist, creating visually compelling works for diverse audiences and collaborating with community organizations and private clients alike. Having lived in the Daytona Beach region since 2009, Azari’s work demonstrates a deep commitment to artistic expression that invites public interaction and communal participation. Her projects have included collaborations with well-known venues and brands, and her mural productions often incorporate community involvement and artistic collaboration.
The mural Natasha will lead at the 2026 International Festival is titled and themed around “The Spirit of ’76” and American Exceptionalism—a visual celebration of cultural roots, shared values, and the many traditions that contribute to the American experience. The piece will be developed on-site during the event, inviting festival attendees of all ages to observe and take part in its creation.
“Art has the unique ability to bring people together,” said William J. Sanchez, Founder and Executive Director of Cultural Awareness Fund, Inc. “Natasha Azari’s vision and dedication to public art embody the collaborative spirit and cultural pride at the heart of our festival. Her mural will be a lasting symbol of community, heritage, and unity.”
The completed mural, along with a documented time-lapse video of its creation, will be displayed later at a local venue, extending the impact of the festival beyond its two-day celebration.
Natasha Azari’s work can be seen in public art projects throughout Central Florida and has been featured in creative publications highlighting contemporary artists and community muralists.
